We are dedicated to providing high-quality swimming programs, developing aquatic skills, and fostering a positive environment for athletes of all ages. Operating out of 601 Mundis Mill Rd, our team serves the York community with professional coaching and training opportunities designed to build champions in and out of the pool.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Swim Coach to join our coaching staff for both club and High School. This role is ideal for someone passionate about swimming and eager to inspire the next generation of athletes. You will work closely with the Head Coach to plan, organize, and lead practices and meets, while promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in running practice sessions that focus on technique, endurance, and skill development.
- Support swimmer development with feedback and individualized training plans.
- Coach at swim meets, focusing on race strategy, starts, turns, and finishes.
- Foster a positive team culture that encourages growth and motivation.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Communicate with swimmers, parents, and coaching staff to support team goals.
- Assist with administrative duties, including attendance, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Lead or support dryland training to complement in-water workouts.
Qualifications
- Previous competitive swimming experience preferred.
- Coaching background preferred, but enthusiastic learners are welcome.
- Certifications: USA Swimming Coaching Certification (or willingness to obtain), plus CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
- Strong communication and motivational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and parents.
- Flexible and adaptable to meet team needs.
Working Hours
- Practices: Mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
- Meets: Evenings and weekends.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
