The Role

The Client Access Specialist is responsible for identifying client's insurance benefits, state Medicaid applications, collections, payment plans, resolving billing-related issues, and other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• Perform insurance benefit verifications with commercial and government payers
• Communicate with clients regarding their medical benefit policies and payment options
• Answer incoming calls in a friendly and courteous manner
• Negotiate payment arrangements with the clients to ensure timely payments
• Prioritize and communicate clearly using tact and judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Analyze revenue sources and mitigate lost revenue through training of clinical and clerical staff
• Understand and troubleshoot system information for analytical projects
• Performs other related duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred
• Have at least 2 years minimum of customer service experience
• Have experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software platforms and their integration in billing systems
• Possess strong data entry, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Certified Professional Biller Certification (i.e. AAPC) preferred, but not required
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen
• Completion of a background check
• Satisfactory Driving Record
