Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Department: Quality
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Technician tests incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and outgoing finished goods to ensure that quality standards are met and aligned with industry standards as well as customer specific requirements. In addition, the QA Technician supports the Quality Department with compliance activities (related the company’s AS9100 Quality Management System) including internal audits, corrective actions, calibrations, training, safety, lean/6S, and document control.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician
Department: Quality
Job Type: Full-Time
Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Technician tests incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and outgoing finished goods to ensure that quality standards are met and aligned with industry standards as well as customer specific requirements. In addition, the QA Technician supports the Quality Department with compliance activities (related the company’s AS9100 Quality Management System) including internal audits, corrective actions, calibrations, training, safety, lean/6S, and document control.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform testing on steel wire and steel wire rope, and assemblies
- Performs sample preparation including cutting and pressing
- Inspect products being manufactured to ensure compliance with stated requirements
- Inspect and test all incoming raw materials ensuring compliance to requirements
- Monitor and inspect QA equipment for correct operation
- Assists with the calibration and documentation of plant equipment
- Enter test results, completed product information, and product receipts into the ERP system
- Identifies and responds to quality issues/non-conformances via appropriate procedures/work instructions
- Other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
- Attention to detail is paramount
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications
- Strong problem identification, reasoning ability, and problem resolution
- Clear and concise communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

- Dependable and prompt
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Associates Degree preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or additional experience will be given extra consideration
- Quality experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF16949 Quality Systems is a plus
- Excellent computer skills including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Experience with ERP systems is plus (Microsoft Dynamics)
