What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Mixer Truck Driver position at CENTRAL WASHINGTON ASPHALT?
AAA READY-MIX is looking for Concrete Ready-Mix Drivers in the Spokane area.
The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. We are seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and great customer service skills. Drivers must be able to perform all physical requirements to perform their duties.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must have current Commercial Class A drivers license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
- Safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
- Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
- Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
- Familiarity with slumps is a plus.
- Good attendance and punctuality a must
- Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
- Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
- Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, may be required
