ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs tasks pertinent to age of patient (infancy to geriatric)
Maintains accurate inventory of medical supplies and orders supplies as necessary.
Manages all treatment and care related resources in an effective and cost efficient manner
Works with the practice leaders in clinical support staff recruitment
Manages orientation of new clinical support staff
Provides leadership, guidance and support for clinical support staff members
Ensures care is provided to patients in accordance with the appropriate professional and company standards
Provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and other staff
Maximizes the education and development of staff and self; this may be in conjunction with a nursing supervisor and/or other practice leaders
Promotes, monitors and participates in all quality improvement activities
Assists in the efficient flow of patients
May assume responsibility for ER situations until supervisor or MD arrives.
Ensures coordination of triage orientation and triage program development.
Attends work as scheduled.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Supports a team-based approach to patient-centered medical care.

Qualifications:EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses, preferred
Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Nursing. or from a compact state*
At least 2 years of general patient care experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
Current CPR certification, preferred.
Experience in telephone triage, preferred.
