What are the responsibilities and job description for the Communications Adjunct Teaching Position position at Central Virginia Community College?
Central Virginia Community College is located in Lynchburg, Virginia, in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. CVCC is a comprehensive two-year institution of higher education with an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students in occupational/technical programs and university-parallel/college transfer programs.
Teach up to 12 credit hours of in-person or online communications classes per academic semester. Teaching assignments may include classes on the main campus as well as at our off-site centers and may include classes with dual-enrolled students in Early College programs, the CTE Academy, and/or the Governor’s STEM Academy. Position longevity depends on sufficient funding, enrollment, and performance.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
Must demonstrate effective and engaging teaching skills, both in person and online. Must have the ability to work effectively with a culturally and educationally diverse student population.
