What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Writer position at Central Vermont Motorcycles?
Our power sports dealership is seeking service writers to join our team. The right candidates will be available to work Tuesday through Saturday; 40-45 hours a week, have strong attention to detail, and be able to multi-task. Knowledge of the power sports industry is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Compensation will be based on experience.
- Greet customers in a timely and professional manner
- Schedule service appointments
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical problems by asking customer to provide details about their machine
- Write repair orders, which include accurate customer information, parts, labor, and pricing
- Keep detailed notes on each repair order
- Follow-up with customers on status of repairs
- Cashier repair orders; explain work completed and charges
- Submit warranty claims
