What are the responsibilities and job description for the Household Mover-Drivers and Helpers position at Central Van & Storage?
Overview:
We’re looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our moving team as Household Movers and Truck Drivers. In this role, you’ll help customers safely transport their belongings while delivering a professional, friendly experience. If you enjoy physical work, teamwork, and providing great service to customers, this could be a great fit.
Open interviews at out two locations M-F 9am-3pm:
1385 Grafton Rd, Morgantown, WV
425 N 4th St, Clarksburg, WV
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely load, unload, and transport household goods
- Wrap, pack, and protect furniture and fragile items
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, straps, and ramps
- Drive moving trucks (for qualified driver applicants)
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic regulations
- Provide excellent customer service during moves
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of trucks and equipment
Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (50–100 lbs regularly)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred for drivers, but not always required)
- Clean driving record (for driver positions)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Team player with good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous moving, warehouse, or delivery experience
- Experience driving box trucks or larger vehicles
- Knowledge of packing techniques and equipment handling
