Responsibilities
- Works under general supervision of Home Health RN
- Performs a variety of personal care services for home-bound patients
- Monitors vital signs, temperature, respiration and reports on patients’ condition
- Carefully documents services as rendered
- Assists with patient mobility and physical therapy and exercise
- Provides companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
- Helps with simple housekeeping chores
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certification as C.N.A.
- Ability to monitor vital signs and collect patient specimens
- Ability to remain flexible and calm in unfamiliar environments
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal capabilities
- Familiarity with basic nutrition and personal hygiene standards
