Central Valley Meat is proud to be a family-owned company, committed to supporting our communities in the Valley. We produce high quality meat items that are sold at grocery stores and restaurants in both the US and around the world.   

We are currently seeking reliable, hard-working individuals to join our beef processing team as Kill Floor General Laborer. This position is essential in supporting the humane and efficient slaughter and processing of cattle in accordance with safety and USDA guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle livestock humanely prior to and during the stunning process.

• Perform key slaughter tasks including bleeding, hide removal, evisceration, trimming, and carcass splitting.

• Use knives, saws, hooks, and pneumatic tools safely and accurately.

• Maintain a clean, safe work area by following sanitation and hygiene protocols.

• Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

• Follow all company safety and food safety procedures.

• Identify and report any quality or animal health concerns to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in meat processing or manufacturing is helpful, but not required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Comfortable working with live animals and raw meat.

• Must be able to stand for long periods, and work in wet, bloody or hot conditions.

• Depending on position, may be required to lift 50 to 90 lbs. 

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.

• Willingness to undergo and pass a drug screen and pre-employment checks.
