Responsibilities: 

• Provide leadership and operational direction to the fabrication team. 

• Have prior experience in the use, care, and proper maintenance of knives and safety equipment. 

• Be non-judgmental and objective based when dealing with people and situations. 

• Ability to assume a leadership role, with creative, patient, and strong interpersonal skills. 

• Maintain a Good Attendance and Safety Record. 

• Responsible for following and communicating the policies and procedures as defined in the employee handbook. 

• Ensure that all processing activities are in conformance with product specifications. 

• Balance quality, productivity, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas. 

• Conduct inspections, constantly monitor all work areas for cleanliness and ensure that product contamination is kept to a minimum. 

• Ensure effective employee relations. Provide employee coaching and development. Assure that all employees follow company policies, procedures, and established work instructions. 

• Oversee training/ cross training of assigned staff, appraise performance and initiate discipline process. 

• Additional job duties as assigned. 

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 4-yrs experience in meat industry 

• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SOPs, USDA 

• Regulatory knowledge related to processed products (i.e USDA FSIS Appendix A and Appendix B) 

Qualifications:   

• Experience: 5 years related experience in a management capacity 

• Meat industry experience preferred, processed products 

• Food processing industry experience required

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
