Join Central Valley Ag as a Mechanic and help keep our fleet and equipment running safely and reliably. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical experience who enjoys problem-solving, learning on the job, and having a direct impact on our operations.
What You’ll Do
Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on trucks, trailers, and cooperative equipment
Assist with DOT inspections, tire work, and routine shop maintenance
Work with operators and drivers to ensure safe and reliable equipment
Support seasonal workload increases across multiple locations as needed
Maintain accurate work order records and equipment documentation
Keep the shop and equipment areas clean, organized, and safe
Use basic diagnostic tools and follow manuals or schematics as needed
Organize and prioritize daily tasks to keep equipment running efficiently
Receive guidance and training to grow into more advanced mechanical tasks
Promote CVA Safety culture and follow OSHA and DOT standards

Who We’re Looking For
1–4 years of hands-on mechanical experience (or willing to learn)
Comfortable working in both a shop and field setting
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work as part of a team
Willingness to learn new skills like DOT inspections, CDL driving, and equipment diagnostics
Comfortable with physical work and seasonal fluctuations
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious
Communicates effectively with operators, drivers, and team members
Maintains high ethical standards in all work
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and bending
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, and fumes as part of daily work
