Job Summary
The Data Technician position is an entry-level role responsible for overseeing the data acquisition and management of assets throughout their lifecycles under specific supervision and coordination with other personnel. This role requires strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret moderately complex data sets and contract record documents, a detail-oriented mindset, an understanding of asset tracking systems, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Essential Functions
1. Ensures accurate and up-to-date data entry into data management systems by reviewing and interpreting information contained in contract record documents, such as construction drawings, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, and manufacturer literature, as well as coordinating with area managers, project managers, and field staff.
2. Develops and implements procedures for data collection, verification, and reporting.
3. Assists in implementing preventive maintenance, work order, and other work management tasks.
4. Working in tandem with operations staff, assists in monitoring and tracking asset lifecycles from installation/acquisition through decommissioning/disposal.
5. Analyzes data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Documents institutional knowledge.
7. Prepares reports and generates insights from data to support decision-making processes.
8. Identifies opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in data management. 9. Develops and manages replacement cost and estimated lifespan data.
10. Provides training and support to staff on data management applications, policies, and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.44 - $29.81 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
