What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Grain Scale Operations position at Central United Cooperative?
Description
POSITION PURPOSE:
The primary function of this position is to timely assist patrons/trucking personnel with weighing trucks, taking grain samples and keeping an accurate record of grain movement at designated location(s).
HOURS: Evenings and every-other weekend.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handle incoming/outgoing grain by weighing trucks
- Obtain grain sample and test grain for quality purposes
- Accurately keep record of sample test results
- General maintenance of grain scale equipment, keeping things neat and clean. Notify supervisor of any safety concerns
- Communicate with location personnel of incoming/outgoing truck traffic and grain quality issues
- Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons
- Additional duties may be assigned by management
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma
- Availability to work extended hours
- Computer and data entry skills
- Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
- Agriculture background preferred but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work in grain dust
- Must be able to perform all physical requirements of the position
Salary : $17 - $19
