Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Plans curriculum, individual and group activities, and field trips to stimulate cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual growth.
· Prepares, facilitates and executes various teaching instructions, guidance, lessons, activities, class/school events and materials.
· Provides and submits weekly ASC lesson plans.
· Creates and sends emails to parents regarding class news, activities, reminders and announcements.
· Collaborate with the assigned teaching team to coordinate instructional efforts.
· Leads activities, including both teacher-directed and child-initiated experiences such as learning to listen to instructions, playing with others, using play equipment, learning classroom routines and expectations.
· Responds appropriately and professionally to all children’s needs (behavioral, emotional and physical).
· Instructs children in practices of personal cleanliness and self-care and full cycling work/activities.
· Alternates periods of strenuous activity with periods of rest or light activity to avoid overstimulation and fatigue.
· Maintains an organized, safe and positive learning environment; manages classroom behavior.
· Serves meals and refreshments to children.
· Evaluates, records and reports on children’s progress, both with informal and formal records and documentation practices.
· Attends all mandatory events including, but not limited to: faculty meetings, teacher’s in–service, Professional Days, admissions process, Open House, and Dazzle.
· Communicates with parents through various means such as conferences and reports.
· Communicates concerns/issues regarding child with administration and parents; completes documentation and follow up as needed.
· Supervises children at all times, both by sight and sound.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
