What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Coordinator position at Central Transport?

Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of:
(7:30AM to 5:30PM) ~ (Monday – Friday)
Salary ranges from:
$50,000-$70,000
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in purchasing, or supply chain, or related experience
- 0-2 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a technology driven or Transportation environment
- Proven research, problem solving and pricing negotiation experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manage operational purchasing activities across multiple departments and locations
- Review sourcing requests and validate pricing
- Issue and manage purchase orders
- Monitor inventory levels and replenishment activities
- Maintain visibility into operational spend and purchasing activity
- Enforce purchasing policies and process compliance
- Assist with cost reduction and spend optimization initiatives
- Maintain purchase order updates and corrections
- Monitor and manage inbox communications
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and PO-related issues
- Coordinate with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and service issues
- Provide administrative support to Purchasing team as needed
Salary : $50,000 - $70,000
