Operations Manager

Central Transport LLC is one of the nation’s most reliable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. Operations Manager (Break Manager)

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Prior LTL management experience is strongly preferred
• Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, and mentor employees
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written, listening and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week average
• Bachelor’s Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee outbound break bulk operations within a 70-door, cross-dock freight facility.
• This includes the process of loading & unloading freight, managing forklift traffic, ensuring freight integrity and security in, and overseeing proper picking/sortation of palletized freight.
• Maintain relationships with dock, driver, and leadership staff within the operation; working to develop, coach, and mentor staff towards company expectations and career development goals.
• Serve as an integral part of the hiring and onboarding of new employees and terminal staff.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards
• Ensure company operational model compliance
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
• Flexibility to work varying shifts as business levels increase
