Central Traffic Enforcement specializes in providing funeral escort services with utmost professionalism and compassion. We ensure safe and dignified transportation for funeral processions, contributing to a seamless and respectful experience for grieving families.
We are seeking a dedicated Funeral Escort Driver to join our team of drivers. As a Funeral Escort Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and respectful movement of funeral processions through various traffic conditions.
**Responsibilities:**
- Safely lead funeral processions using designated routes and proper traffic protocols.
- Provide courteous and empathetic assistance to grieving families and mourners during the procession (load flowers, hand out bottles of water, etc.).
- Maintain professionalism and composure while representing Central Traffic Enforcement during escort duties.
- Conduct pre-trip inspection of your vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for procession duties. This includes washing the company car and ensuring we maintain a professional appearance.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing safety and respect for mourners.
- Maintain accurate records of escort assignments for reporting purposes.
**Compensation and Training Process:**
- You will complete two (2) funeral escort service runs with a CTE Lead Driver for trial purposes. These runs are unpaid and the purpose of these runs is to see if the job is of interest to you.
- Upon agreement between you and the CTE Operations Manager, you'll move forward in the training process. You are an Independent Contractor so you will need to purchase an approved CTE required uniform before proceeding to paid training.
- You will then complete a minimum of eight (8) training runs with a CTE Lead Driver at a rate of $25.00 per run.
- After you complete training, compensation is $50 per funeral. Some funerals will take an hour or less, others will take ~2.5 hours max. The pay rate is the same regardless and typically equates to $20-$30 per hour. Some weeks you will have 1 run, other weeks you might have 10 . We stay consistently busy but this is intended to part-time work for individuals that have time during the middle of the day.
**Qualifications:**
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions precisely.
- Compassionate demeanor and ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.
- Physical fitness to perform duties such as standing for extended periods and safely maneuvering vehicles in procession.
- Prior experience in funeral services or law enforcement is a plus.
