Summary of Position
The Battle Staff Instructor is a full-time, wage determination position directly responsible to the Director, Military Skills Enhancement Program whose overall duties and responsibilities are to teach update and maintain the Battle Staff Course at Fort Hood Troop School and at other Army installations. Conduct special courses or briefings as required by government contract.
Minimum Required Education
Two years college(60 credits) from a US regionally accredited institution of higher education required.

Minimum Required Experience
Prior military service with a minimum of five years of experience in grade of Senior NCO, Warrant Officer, or Commissioned Officer with experience in training management.
At least one year experience as an instructor within the past 10 years prior to employment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft word/Windows 10 to include MS Office Suite.
- Completed a Battle Staff course and was awarded the 2S ASI prior to employment.
- Working knowledge Small Group Process; Mission Command; Staff Operations; Operational Environment; Stability Operations; Information Operations; Cyber Defense; Brigade Combat Team; Urban Operations; Tactical Sustainment; Military Briefings; Graphics and Overlays; Plans, Orders, and Attachments; Command Post of the Future; Military Decision Making Process; and Staff Exercise.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Must be computer literate and have extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite(All Programs) and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able get National Agency Check (NAC)
Other Information
Ability to travel to other military installations to conduct training when requested by Government.
