Responsibilities
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to infants and toddlers, incorporating best practices in early childhood education, literacy education, and Montessori methods.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and language development.
- Provide attentive toddler care by ensuring safety, comfort, and individual attention to each child's needs.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with families to support children’s progress through regular communication about developmental milestones and individualized strategies.
- Support children with special education needs by implementing early intervention strategies and adapting activities accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of each child's progress, including assessments, standardized testing results, and behavioral observations.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health standards, and safety protocols related to childcare and early childhood education.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare, preschool, or private schools is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus.
- Familiarity with teaching physical education, literacy education, math concepts, and Montessori methods enhances your ability to support diverse learning styles.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with families, colleagues, and community partners.
- Previous experience in toddler care or preschool environments that emphasizes nurturing care and developmental support is preferred.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is advantageous; ongoing professional development is encouraged to stay current with best practices.
