IT AI & Applications Intern

Summary:                                                                                                          

The IT Applications Intern – Sales AI Agent Development will support the Application Development team in building AI-powered tools to enhance sales effectiveness. This role focuses on developing CoPilot AI Agents that provide sales employees with quick, actionable customer insights, reducing the need to manually search reports. The intern will collaborate with IT and Sales teams to gather business requirements, design technical solutions, and implement AI-driven applications using Azure technologies. This internship provides hands-on experience in AI development, APIs, and enterprise application design. 

Core Functions:

• Design, develop, and implement CoPilot AI Agents for Sales team use.
• Gather business requirements from Sales and translate them into technical solutions.
• Utilize Azure Foundry and AI tools to build scalable applications.
• Integrate data sources and APIs to provide accurate customer insights.
• Test, troubleshoot, and refine AI agent functionality.
• Demo AI solutions and assist in training Sales team members.
• Participate in Agile team activities including daily standups and team meetings.

Education & Experience:           

Minimum Required:

• Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a bachelor’s program.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field.
• Basic experience with Python or JavaScript.
• Understanding of APIs and system integration concepts.
• Exposure to AI / LLM concepts.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or cloud-based platforms (Azure Foundry preferred).
• Experience working on technical or software development projects.
• Interest in AI, automation, and business applications.
• GPA 3.0 preferred.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office environment. This role will routinely utilize standard office equipment to perform the core functions listed in this job description. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies as well as communicate verbally and electronically. The work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive reading to perform the core functions listed in this job description. While performing the core function of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and stand.
