Central States Bus Sales is currently seeking a Controller for our Fenton, MO location. This position oversees and administers the accounting and financial operations of the company by providing both tactical and strategic leadership, monitoring the health of the organization, identifying and managing risks, and managing capital resources.

- Preparation and oversight of financial statements and accountability for timely and accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting planning and analysis.
- Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information to evaluate operating results in terms of profitability and performance. Develop key performance measures for each business unit and ensure that each have adequate management controls in place.
- Other areas of responsibility include tax planning and compliance, GAAP audit, and risk management.
- Manage the company's chart of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.
- Responsible for the oversight of performance of personnel in the Accounting Department. This individual recommends training requirements.
- Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost of accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances and special projects.
- Evaluation of current financial processes, procedures and related organizational structure and implementation of necessary changes to make financial operations more efficient and effective. Investment analysis and cost containment programs routinely evaluated and implemented where practical.
- As key member of management team, assist President in strategy development and execution.
- Establishes major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepares reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations.
- Provide input and guidance for employee benefit programs, policies, and compensation.
- Provides indirect support to the HR function, including payroll, as necessary.
- Ensures that all external reporting and compliance obligations are fulfilled.
- Evaluates and recommends insurance coverage for protection against property losses and potential liabilities.
- Evaluates and recommends developmental procedures for the NetSuite ERP system; functions as a NetSuite ERP power user.
- Helps maintain external relationships with bank, outside CPA, retirement plan providers, and vendors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- BSBA in Accounting or Finance, or MBA
- CPA
- Previous management/leadership of accounting/finance/administration disciplines
- Experience with NetSuite/Oracle ERP preferred
