- Heavy Equipment Operator: Temporary, Full Time. Min 40 hrs./week, Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm variable. Min $36.05 /hr. Some overtime hours may be available at $54.08/hr. Overtime applies after 40 hours worked per week. On state-funded projects in Minnesota, overtime is applied after 8 hours per day. Employer will use a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due. Employers will make all deductions from workers' paychecks as required by law. - Work will be performed in multiple locations in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Northeast Nebraska, and Northwest Iowa. We are a mobile operation. Work is linear and travel to different job sites inside Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Northeast Nebraska and Northwest Iowa will be required. All job sites are located within the area of intended employment. Employer will provide optional, free-of-charge lodging and transportation within close proximity to worksites (maximum 20 miles from worksites). Duties: In compliance with company safety program, the Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for maintaining and operating various pieces of construction equipment, such as Motor Graders, Reclaimers, Pavers, Rollers, Compactors, Dozers, Excavators, Scrapers, Finish Blade, etc. for road construction projects. Use various pieces of equipment for leveling areas, creating berms, ramps and/or roadways, stripping, excavating and backfilling. Use heavy equipment for stockpiling materials, cutting and spreading fill materials. Pushing milling materials, sand and aggregate piles, clearing trees and other debris. Use heavy equipment for restoring pit areas when construction operation is completed. Must be able to work long hours in adverse conditions including heat, wind, rain and noise. Require: 6 months Heavy Equipment Operator experience. Regular driver license (non-commercial) No On-the-Job Training. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
