Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment
Central Service and Supply, Inc has an opening for a Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment/Aggregate to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Territory will include primarily Eastern Iowa (Interstate 35 and East). Some travel may also include surrounding states (Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin).
Ability to work independently.
Schedule own service work and look for opportunities to gain more service work.
Assist others on special projects.
Ensure all records kept are legible or in compliance with established methods;
Work with Inside Sales Staff to order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs;
Maintain and Care for Shop Tools, Equipment and Vehicles;
Communicate with Others Professionally;
Ensure that all repairs are completed as assigned;
Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned per guidelines Maintain the work area in a clean and safe condition;
Perform Diagnostic Inspections as Directed; Both Manually and Electronically.
Requirements:
Good, safe work habits; Safety first mentality
Background working on heavy equipment, stationary/mobile/rotating aggregate equipment
Ability to be productive by working efficiently and effectively with a high energy level;
Follow DOT, OSHA and MSHA Safety Guidelines
Have MSHA Part 46 and Part 48 certifications within 30 days of start date.
CDL – Class A or B
Must be able to work required hours including nights and weekends as needed. Weekly, Daily Travel and Overnights will be required.
Demonstrates concern for the accuracy and quality of work. Takes steps to correct mistakes and uses feedback to improve overall performance.
A good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions; factory classroom education will be provided.
Must have a pleasing personality with a sales aptitude;
Demonstrated mechanical, welding, electrical and hydraulic maintenance skills;
Specialty tools provided by Central Service and Supply, Inc
A technical school certificate or equivalent work experience in heavy/industrial repairs
