Position Summary
As a Plating Technician, you will be responsible for applying metal coatings to various substrates through electroplating processes. You will ensure high-quality finishes while adhering to safety standards and environmental regulations.

Key Positions Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Set up and operate electroplating equipment according to specifications.
- Prepare surfaces for plating by cleaning, polishing, and masking as required.
- Monitor plating processes, adjusting parameters to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conduct inspections of plated parts for quality assurance, identifying defects and inconsistencies.
- Maintain proper chemical balances and perform regular maintenance on plating baths.
- Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support in troubleshooting issues.
- This role is full-time, non-exempt
- Based in Hauppauge, NY this is an onsite role

Requirements
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- Technical training in electroplating or a related field
- Previous experience in electroplating, metal finishing, or a similar role
- Strong understanding of electroplating processes and related chemistry
- Familiarity with safety protocols and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
