Duties
- Operate various construction machinery including excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, cranes, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow all safety regulations and occupational safety procedures while handling heavy machinery and materials.
- Use hand tools and hydraulics systems effectively for minor repairs or adjustments on-site.
- Handle materials efficiently using appropriate material handling equipment to support construction activities.
- Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate the movement of construction materials and equipment across the site.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation, maintenance activities, and safety checks for accountability and compliance.
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, backhoes, dozers, front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks or similar equipment in a construction environment.
- Construction site experience with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety standards.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience in commercial truck driving preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with hydraulics systems and the use of hand tools for repairs or adjustments.
- Knowledge of occupational safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and material handling.
