Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for pets, clients, and staff during treatments and procedures
- Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assist with dental procedures by understanding dental terminology and supporting dental cleanings or treatments
Skills
- Proven kennel experience with the ability to handle multiple animals confidently in various settings
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and critical care practices
- Experience with dog training, pet grooming, and pet care routines to enhance overall animal well-being
- Skilled in animal catheterization, restraint techniques, and aseptic procedures for safe treatment delivery
- Laboratory experience including sample collection, processing, and understanding diagnostic results such as X-ray images
- Excellent animal handling skills combined with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about pet health needs
