As the Rental Store Manager, you will be responsible for all day-to-day operations including the following tasks:
- Oversee daily store functions, including rental contracts, billing, and inventory accuracy
- Handle customer interactions, resolve issues, and ensure a positive rental experience, potentially including equipment loading/unloading assistance
- Cultivate a culture of transparency and effective communication with all staff and customers
- Manage fleet readiness, schedule maintenance/repairs, ensure cleanliness, and coordinate deliveries/pickups
- Manage, train, schedule, and oversee store staff members including hiring when necessary
- Achieve budgets, control costs, manage facility appearance, and ensure compliance with policies
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous management, retail, or equipment management experience
- Vast knowledge of construction equipment including, but not limited to generators, pumps, excavators, lifts, skid steers, etc.
- Strong customer service & interpersonal skills (in-person & telephone)
- Extensive computer & administrative skills
- Able to work & contribute in a team environment
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and assess priority
- Ability to frequently lift equipment weighing 50 lbs.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide a suitable solution
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous management experience in the equipment rental industry
Working Conditions:
The Rental Store Manager position may require occasional manual lifting & loading with several hours on your feet mainly in an indoor shop environment with outdoor assignments as required. The physical demands may include standing, squatting, crouching, and lifting rental equipment in excess of 50 lbs. as necessary.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
