Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Recreation Therapist based in Butner, NC. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing therapeutic recreation programs tailored to enhance the physical, emotional, and social well-being of patients. The role involves evaluating patient progress, maintaining detailed progress notes, and utilizing various therapeutic methods, including art therapy, to meet individual needs. Qualifications
- Expertise in Recreation and Therapeutic Recreation techniques
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification or equivalent
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and detailed Progress Notes
- Experience in utilizing Art Therapy methods effectively in a therapeutic setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate within interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to tailor therapeutic activities to meet the diverse needs of patients
- Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy, or a related field
- Experience in a clinical or medical setting is preferred
