The CSAC or Peer Recovery Specialist provides recovery support services, education, and peer-based guidance to residents in alignment with ASAM 3.3 standards.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate recovery support groups and skill-building activities.
- Provide peer support, mentoring, and recovery coaching.
- Assist residents with goal setting and recovery planning.
- Document services in accordance with DBHDS requirements.
- Promote a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed environment.
- Support crisis de-escalation under clinical guidance.
Qualifications
- CSAC certification or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist in Virginia.
- Lived experience (for Peer role) preferred.
- Knowledge of substance use recovery principles and ethics.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Salary : $18 - $25
