Operations Associate
OUR MISSION

- Organize – Track critical student information, data & reporting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure an efficient and organized office environment and upkeep with commonly-used forms.
- Manage reception in the office and serve as a gatekeeper for all students, families, staff, and visitors.
- Fulfill staff supply requests, manage ongoing supply orders, and upkeep the school inventory database.
- Distribute internal and external written notices and communications (translate where necessary) to the school community, including families and staff.
- Ensure accurate management and upkeep of the student information system (SIS) and other record systems.
- Manage and reconcile daily student attendance and tardiness records in the SIS.
- Coordinates eligibility and compliance with Department of Education student transportation.
- Assist the operations team and instructional team (as needed) with the compilation of data for reports.
- Support in the planning and implementation of all family and school events, including but not limited to family information sessions, the student lottery, back-to-school family nights, parent-teacher conferences, assessment days, and summer institute. (Some evenings and Saturdays included).
- Conduct outreach to ensure high attendance amongst families at all events.
- Perform other special projects as assigned by Operations Manager, Director of Operations, or other school leader.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Spanish language and written skills highly preferred
- Exhibits a high level of organizational ability and a knack for systems management.
- Skillful in delivering high quality internal and external customer service.
- Strong skills and proficiency in MS applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
- Minimum two-three years of experience in a school setting required.
- Experience working in a New York City Charter School highly preferred.
COMPENSATION
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience ($58,000-$65,000/yr)
