We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager who wants to learn the business from the ground up, supporting both field and office operations while gaining hands-on experience across estimating, project coordination, procurement, and construction execution.
What You’ll Do
You’ll gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of civil construction projects.
Office Responsibilities
- Support estimating efforts through quantity takeoffs, estimate setup, historical data tracking, and learning computer take-off software.
- Prepare and manage project documentation including submittals, O&M manuals, contracts, permits, purchase orders, and timecards.
- Coordinate material purchasing, tracking, and procurement needs.
- Organize drawings, specifications, meeting materials, and pre-construction planning documents.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Maintain compliance with company standards and procedures.
Manage small projects with the support of a Project Manager.
Field Responsibilities
- Assist with project layout, daily reporting, and coordination of job site activities.
- Support safety, quality control, and project documentation efforts.
- Review submittals and shop drawings as assigned.
- Verify material deliveries and quantities.
Gain exposure to how multiple trades and scopes integrate throughout a project.
What you bring:
- 5 years of relevant field experience, or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (ABET-accredited).
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Autodesk, Procore, etc. and familiarity with Timberline is a plus.
