What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Treatment Coordinator position at Central Perio?
Job Summary
We are a growing periodontal practice looking for a confident, organized, and professional treatment coordinator to help continue our upward trajectory! We have an incredible team, so finding the right person that values being a team player is a must! We are a busy office focused on the patient experience, so confidence in communicating treatment plans and financial obligations, a high comfort level with insurance verification, and the ability to juggle the schedule and manage production is a must. Previous experience as dental front office personnel in a periodontal or oral surgery practice is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Present treatment plans to patients in a confident, clear and concise manner.
- Serve as a patient advocate, helping patients to understand and move forward with any needed treatment.
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verification processes efficiently and explain to patients how benefits will be utilized.
- Help patients understand their financial options to facilitate care.
- Communicate with referring offices.
- Maintain treatment reports and pending treatment and follow-up lists.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure all necessary materials, information and documentation is available to facilitate patient care.
- Answer phones and schedule new patients.
- Visit referring offices to improve coordination of patient treatment
Experience
- Confidence is a must!
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review and accurate record keeping.
- Exceptional customer service skills complemented by professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.

Pay: $24.00 - $40.00 per hour
