Position Summary: The Talent Acquisition Assistant provides vital support to the recruiting and onboarding functions within Human Resources. This position assists in implementing effective strategies to attract, engage, and onboard top talent for CPH. Key responsibilities include managing the onboarding and coordination of temporary workers, supporting new employee and student onboarding, providing recruiting and administrative support, and coordinating recruitment events such as job fairs and community outreach initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Assistant serves as a professional representative of CPH, ensuring a positive candidate and employee experience while maintaining organized processes and accurate records in alignment with HR policies and organizational goals.

Growth Opportunity: This role serves as an entry point into Talent Acquisition and HR operations. The Assistant will gain hands-on experience in recruiting coordination, applicant tracking systems, onboarding processes, compliance documentation, and workforce pipeline programs. As competency increases, the role may take on more advanced responsibilities, such as managing requisitions, conducting candidate outreach, screening applications, assisting with workforce development strategies, and supporting department-level recruiting consultations. Strong performance can lead to advancement into Talent Acquisition Specialist, HR Generalist, or HR Coordinator roles.

Essential Duties

  • Provide administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and workforce pipeline programs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and placement for temporary workers, contractors, and students.
  • Assist with preparing, distributing, and tracking onboarding and compliance documents.
  • Support candidate communication, scheduling, interview coordination, and follow-up.
  • Maintain accuracy in the applicant tracking system and onboarding platforms.
  • Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and community outreach activities.
  • Ensure candidates, new hires, and visitors experience professional, timely, and welcoming interactions.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and HR projects related to recruitment and onboarding

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience:
    • Two (2) years of advanced-level administrative experience OR
    • One (1) year of experience in Human Resources, recruiting, or onboarding
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Familiarity with and basic skills using social media.
  • Recruiter Academy Certified Recruiter within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare or a unionized environment
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems or onboarding software
  • Exposure to recruiting, workforce development, or HR compliance
  • HR certifications preferred:
    • aPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR
