What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN, Swing Bed/MDS Manager position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for coordination of the Swing Bed Program, including regulatory accountability. Responsible for keeping Swing Bed policies. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a productive relationship with inpatient and outpatient networks. Responsible for establishing and maintaining Interdisciplinary Team Meetings (IDT). Holds staff accountable for care activities and documentation requirements of the Swing Bed Program. Manages RN and CNA staff, assists director with hiring, and evaluation of RN and CNA staff. Acts as MDS Coordinator, ensuring MDS assessments are completed accurately and on time.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Long Term Care - Nursing experience
- 1 year of Nursing Leadership experience
- State of Alaska RN Licensure
- BLSP from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
