Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and specialized equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Responsibilities

• Perform PET/CT scans
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations by capturing high-quality medical images while adhering to safety standards.
• Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results and provide insights on patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures, patient information, and imaging results.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and nuclear medicine protocols during all procedures.
• Educate patients about the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
• Stay updated on advancements in nuclear medicine technology and medical imaging practices.

Skills

• Proficient in nuclear medicine techniques and medical imaging technologies.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic evaluation.
• Experience with PET scans is required.
• Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
• Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Part-time
