Automotive Electrical Technician - Starter & Alternator Rebuilding Specialist
About the Role: We're seeking a mechanically inclined team member to join our automotive electrical repair shop in Honolulu. You'll rebuild starters and alternators, assist customers, and help keep our operation running smoothly. This position will start part-time and transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.
What You'll Do:
- Rebuild, test, and repair starters and alternators using hand and air tools
- Assist customers in person and over the phone with parts inquiries and sales
- Make local deliveries and pickups as needed
- Maintain accurate records using Excel or QuickBooks
- Perform general shop tasks: organizing and putting away inventory, assembling shelves, mopping, and maintaining a clean workspace
- Follow quality control procedures to ensure excellent workmanship
What We're Looking For:
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using tools daily: screwdrivers, multi-meters, pliers, soldering iron, air ratchet, bench grinder, sandblaster, and more
- Valid Hawaii driver's license in good standing
- Ability to lift heavy automotive parts throughout the day
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Chrome, email)
- Willingness to learn and ask questions
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Bonus: Sales or phone customer service experience
- Bonus: Familiarity with Excel or QuickBooks
Schedule:
- Starting: Part-time hours with flexible scheduling
- Transitioning to: Full-time Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, plus rotating Saturdays, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

- Can you proficiently use the following tools etc on a daily basis to assemble, disassemble, and test starters & alternators?
Screw driver, multi-meter, needle-nose pliers, soldering iron, hammer, snap ring plier, air ratchet, bench grinder, sand blaster, spray paint and cleaners.
Also, can you work daily Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays?
Also, please take the really skills tests for mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.
