Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and families to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders. Your expertise will be essential in developing individualized treatment plans that promote effective communication and enhance the quality of life for your patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities in patients.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Provide therapy for various speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, and language comprehension. Our clinic also offers feeding therapy if applicable to applying therapist.
- Collaborate with other treating therapists, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate child's family about speech therapy techniques and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, treatments, and progress reports.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist. CFY considered.
- Experience in pediatrics is preferred
- Experience with feeding a plus.
- Strong patient assessment skills to evaluate communication challenges effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with children and their families.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
