Job description
We’re looking for a fun and engaging Teacher to help our learning specialists in providing academic intervention for students of varying ages and abilities. You will help to execute effective lesson plans and organize the learning environment during small group instruction.
Position will be part-time, but with the opportunity to grow as the program expands. This is a part time 1099 contractor position. Typical schedule is between 5-10 hours/week and will continue through the summer.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for guiding students through strategically implemented lesson plans tailored to their individual learning needs and style. You’ll work closely with the learning specialist who designed the lessons to make sure that each student's learning needs are being met.

Responsibilities
- Set up necessary materials for classes
- Track student success data and communicate with the Learning Specialist
- Provide direct instruction of reading, math and language arts materials for individual students with learning differences
- Assist in keeping classroom organized and clean
- Help students transition, learn, and socialize
- Fill in for Learning Specialists in case of absence
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Experience in an academic setting
- Familiarity with remediated teaching strategies
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude
- Kind and flexible personality
- A love for teaching and the ability to build a trusting relationship with students, teachers, and parents
