The Clinical Support Specialist is responsible for fraud prevention, form completion, medication and procedure authorization and referrals.

- Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Reynoldsburg, OH
- Verify incoming forms are authenticate requests before information is released, by reviewing chart or calling the patient. If not authentic, fax form back stating refused.
- Prepare the form for the provider by filling out all information possible. Mark the form where the provider needs to complete. Verifying form is given to provider for completion.
- Submit prior authorizations for medications. Once answer is received, follow through with informing patient and pharmacy. Scan in completion.
- Submit prior authorizations for any STAT procedures the provider may order. Schedule the patient at requested facility.
- Process and follow referrals to close the loop
- Scanning of medical records into patient’s chart.
- Assist with clinical pool messages including medication refills.
- Assist with incoming calls and scheduling needs.
- Collaborate with clinical staff and providers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Inform providers of issues or concerns.
- Assist in scheduling Annual Wellness Visits (AWV) for patients
- Other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensures & Certifications
- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Education or experience in medical office capacity.
- Medical Assistant, LPN or RN preferred
- Education or experience in medical office capacity. Medical Assistant, LPN or RN preferred.
- Proven experience in a clinical support role
- Familiarity with patient care procedures and medications.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting light to medium-weight supplies as necessary.
