Headquartered in Ashland, COG is a full-service health and life insurance agency with additional offices in Millersburg and Norwalk. The agency offers tailored solutions and support to its clients for group and Medicare insurance plans. In addition to supporting clients directly, COG is also a managing general agency which provides localized, personalized support to independent agents. Assisting them with tasks like contracting, benefit questions and education, claims, plan administration, quoting, and enrollment.
Position: Account Executive
This is a full-time role based in Ashland, for an individual/Medicare Account Executive position. The Account Executive will work closely with the Medicare agents to assist with current clients and their on-going plan needs. This position is meant to serve as the first step before moving into a full-time sales role within the agency.
Duties:
- Managing active client accounts by supporting the current agents within the agency and providing necessary material per the agent's request.
- Creating marketing materials to be distributed to existing clients.
- Quoting renewal or alternative plan options for existing client accounts.
- Researching benefit and/or claim questions and contacting clients to provide them with the answer and/or solution.
- Answering benefit and/or network questions for existing clients when they call in.
- Distributing renewals and updating the agency's CRM system with renewal info.
- Providing a high level of customer service when agents or clients reach out.

- Organizational and time management abilities, with keen attention to detail in handling accounts and paperwork.
- Skilled at balancing competing deadlines while maintaining focus and productivity without becoming overwhelmed in a sometimes fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take constructive criticism with a strong desire to constantly learn and grow.
- Proficient and comfortable using a computer.
- Ability to work independently in an on-site setting while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Insurance license preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of the health & life insurance markets preferred but not required.
