What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at Central Office?
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students over designated routes and to special events. This position ensures that all passengers are transported in a safe, courteous, and timely manner in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and district policies.

Operate a school or transit bus over assigned routes and within a scheduled timeframe.

Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and safety of the vehicle.

Comply with all traffic regulations and safety procedures while operating the bus.

Maintain order and discipline among passengers; report any behavioral issues to the appropriate authority.

Assist passengers with boarding and exiting as needed, including those with disabilities.

Keep accurate records, including route logs, incident reports, and maintenance records.

Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly to the transportation department.

Ensure the bus is clean and maintained in a sanitary condition.

Attend required safety meetings, in-service training sessions, and performance evaluations.
