What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTANT TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR position at Central Office?
Greensburg Community Schools is looking to hire an Assistant Transportation Director.
The candidate will assist with daily transportation needs and minor bus maintenance.
Job Requirements:
High School Diploma
Candidate must have a CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with yellow card (school bus, passenger and air brake endorsements).
Must be at least 25 years old (Due to Insurance requirement).
Must have a current DOT physical and maintain requirements each year.
Must have a clean driving record.
Job Duties:
Assists in organizing buses and drivers for field trips and extra-curricular activities.
Assists in fueling mini buses and buses.
Assists in inspecting school buses regularly.
Assists in repairing buses to ensure proper operation.
Assists in routine preventive maintenance of buses and minor mechanical repairs.
Assists with State bus inspections (two per year).
Be available to respond to urgent requests outside of the regular work hours.
Ensures own regular and prompt attendance.
Promote good public relations for the school district and community.
Remains free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace.
Adheres to all Department of Transportation guidelines for the CDL.
Other duties may be assigned by the Transportation Director.
