About the Role:
The Assistant Administrator will work closely with the Administrator to oversee the daily operations of the facility, support departmental leaders, and help ensure regulatory compliance, staff satisfaction, and resident well-being. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive problem-solver with a strong understanding of long-term care operations and a passion for leadership in senior care.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Administrator in managing daily facility operations
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Collaborate with department heads to maintain high-quality resident care
Help oversee staffing, training, and employee relations
Participate in audits, surveys, and inspections, and help implement corrective actions
Support the development of strategic initiatives to enhance facility performance
Serve as a liaison between residents, families, and staff
Monitor quality assurance programs and participate in performance improvement plans
Step in as acting Administrator when needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
Active Nursing Home Administrator license or eligibility preferred (or working toward licensure)
2 years of management experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Strong knowledge of SNF regulations and healthcare operations
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage teams, solve problems, and adapt to challenges
