The CNM Parking Enforcement Officer performs public relation duties and activities related to the enforcement of the College’s Parking and Fleet regulations.Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts regular patrols to identify violations of CNM parking regulations and stays updated on changes in CNM parking regulations and local ordinances.
- Monitors parking meters, signs, and designated spaces to uphold compliance.
- Issues parking citations to vehicles in violation of CNM parking regulations.
- Records essential details such as the date, time, and location of the violation.
- Inspect parking meters, collect coins, clean and preform regular maintenance.
- Identifies and address illegally parked vehicles and those occupying reserved or handicapped spaces without proper authorization.
- Prepares detailed reports documenting issued citations and enforcement activities.
- Maintains accurate records of parking violations for administrative purposes.
- Addresses complaints and inquiries from the public regarding parking regulations and support to the Fleet Department as needed.
- Provides information and assistance related to parking rules.
- Collaborates with towing services to address illegally parked vehicles and participating in operations such as booting vehicles with outstanding parking fines.
- Responsible for transporting fleet vehicles for maintenance, supporting various fleet-related tasks, ensuring the cleanliness and professional appearance of the fleet vehicles, fueling fleet vehicles, and providing assistance in event-related activities such as traffic control and coordination.
- Interacts with the public professionally and helpfully, resolves disputes and provides information about parking regulations.
- Attends training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- This position may require responsibility on weekends and evenings to support events and ensure smooth operations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, and customer service or related experience.
- This position requires a valid unrestricted Driver's License
