Duties
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of food service programs aligned with children's nutrition standards
- Supervise and manage food production teams, ensuring high-quality meal preparation and presentation
- Oversee dietary department operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety management protocols and health regulation policies to maintain compliance with all health codes
- Manage budgets effectively, including purchasing, inventory control, and cost analysis to optimize resource utilization
- Conduct patient assessment and clinical nutrition evaluations to tailor meal plans that support individual health conditions such as tube feeding or specialized diets
Experience
- Proven management experience in food service management within assisted living or healthcare or educational settings
- Demonstrated supervising experience leading food service teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies related to food safety, nutrition standards, and EHR/EHR (Electronic Health Records) management systems
- Familiarity with dietary department operations including food production, menu planning, and nutrition counseling
- Experience with acute care environments or clinical nutrition assessments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, care plans development, and diagnostic evaluation processes
- Skilled in budgeting, food safety management, and implementing health coaching strategies for residents or patients
