We are currently seeking a Processer/ Lending Assistant to join our Mortgage Banking Team in Temple.

Our mortgage banking team is an integral part of the exceptional customer experience we, as a bank, strive to provide, assisting customers from start-to-finish with their mortgage loan needs. The mortgage processer position works in tandem with loan officers, underwriters, and mortgage department staff to ensure loan documentation is received and completed in a timely and efficient manner. Responsible for ensuring the loan flows through underwriting and manages the bank’s communication with outside vendors such as title companies, appraisers, and surveyors. This role is an in-person position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Compiles financial and other needed documents to complete a loan file
- Orders supporting documentation such as appraisals, title commitment, verifications of employment and mortgage
- Obtains documentation needed to clear underwriting conditions
- Communicates with title company, appraiser, and underwriter
- Provides excellent customer service to borrower, loan officer, vendors, and other interested parties
- Maintains the branch pipeline report and prioritizes workflow to ensure loans close on time
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- Experience in banking or related field is a plus
- Detail oriented
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mortgage software, familiarity with Calyx is a plus
- Knowledge and understanding of real estate documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and VA loan requirements is a plus
- Knowledge of desktop underwriting programs is a plus
Required Education and Experience:
- Experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
- Experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi- tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office software products
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
