Description
This position is an important member of the accounting team, managing the daily accounting functions of the entire bank including reporting, regulatory compliance and internal controls.

- Possess at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting with master’s degree preferred
- Possess a CPA license or be a CPA candidate
Job Duties:
- Prepare internal financial reports with frequency ranging from daily to annually.
- Support the bi-weekly accounts payable process and serve as back-up for that function.
- Prepare daily accounting entries for activities to include investments, accrued and prepaid expenses, and payroll.
- Lead the monthly financial close process.
- Prepare regulatory reports such as the quarterly Call Report and semi-annual holding company reports.
- Serve as administrator for accounting software applications and correspondent banks
- Serve as administrator for the company credit card and manage monthly expense reporting.
- Work with other bank departments to address accounting questions and needs and ensure that accounting policies are being followed.
- Lead the annual budget preparation and data collection.
- Evaluate accounting processes for continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities.
- Maintain awareness of accounting standards and work with the CFO on responses to new or updated standards.
- Maintain awareness of tax law and work with the CFO on responses to new or updated laws.
