As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a motivated and experienced construction salesperson/estimator to help us grow our client base and keep projects moving forward.
Position Summary:
You’ll be the first point of contact for potential clients, meeting with homeowners, business owners and property managers to understand their needs, provide estimates, and help guide them through the early stages of their construction projects. The salesperson/estimator is responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, meeting with clients, creating accurate estimates, and closing deals. This role blends relationship-building with technical knowledge-perfect for someone who enjoys both people and plans.
- Generate leads through cold calling or on-site contacts.
- Establish or assist in pricing, defining the scope of work and writing contracts for repair work, generating material lists and invoices.
- Ensure all contracts and invoices are submitted and processed promptly.
- Arrange and conduct pre-construction conferences where necessary and review contract documents and safety plans.
- Establish and ensure adherence to job schedules and priorities.
- Collect all draw schedule payments.
- Capability to work well with other team members.
- Possess integrity and ability to maintain customer confidentiality.
- Exhibit a strong work ethic fueled by self-motivation and positive energy.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new leads and follow up with prospects (both inbound and outbound).
- Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand project scope.
- Prepare detailed and competitive estimates and proposals.
- Present bids and negotiate terms with clients.
- Collaborate with project managers and the operations team to ensure seamless handoff and execution.
- Daily/weekly reports.
Qualifications:
- Experience in construction sales, estimating, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and terminology.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare accurate estimates and proposals.
