What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Central Minnesota Dermatology?
Central Minnesota Dermatology is currently in the process of constructing a new clinic to allow us to expand the availability of our current services as well as add services and treatment options for our patients. We are excited to also expand our team!

Duties
- Reception duties including: patient check-in, entering and verifying demographic information in EHR, scanning insurance cards and photo ID, collecting copays and patient payments, scheduling follow-up appointments, patient check-out, answering phone calls, scheduling patient appointments over the phone, preparing provider schedules, making patient reminder calls, entering and contacting new patient consult requests, and reconciling cash drawer daily.
- Additional duties include: maintaining cleanliness of patient areas, monitoring supply levels and re-ordering when needed.
- The clinic is small, therefore, the expectation is that everyone will work to ensure that all tasks are completed to make the clinic run smoothly and efficiently.
Clinic Hours
- Patient appointments are scheduled Monday through Thursday 7:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 7:00am to 2:00pm.
- Clinic is closed on weekends and holidays.

Work Hours
- Shift start time: 6:45am – 8:00am
- Shift end time: Monday - Thursday varies between 4:00pm and 5:00pm; Friday varies between 2:00pm and 3:00pm.
